Members of the 'All India Federation of Bengali Buddhists' (Dr. Sujit Kumar Barua - General Secretary, Shri Nabarun Barua - Secretary, Smt. Sangeeta Barua - Assistant Secretary, Shri Sujit Kumar Barua - Assistant Secretary) had the honour of meeting Shri Nirupam Chakma, Hon’ble Member of the 'National Commission for Scheduled Tribes', Government of India. The discussion centered around critical issues related to the socio-economic and cultural development of the Bengali Buddhists 'Magh' Tribal community.
Key topics included the need for better representation, educational and employment opportunities, preservation of our cultural heritage, and government initiatives for the upliftment of our community. Shri Nirupam Chakma attentively listened to our concerns and assured his support in addressing these matters at the national level.
This meeting marks an important step in our ongoing efforts to advocate for the rights and progress of Bengali Buddhists. We remain committed to working together for a brighter and more empowered future for our community.

  • To promote among the members in particular and the Buddhists in general strict observance and practice of the teaching of the Buddha.
  • To propagate the sublime doctrines of the Buddha.
